Horseshoe Bend is nestled on the bank of the river and opens  to the upstream corner of Big Beach.  This is a large, serene area, with great beach access and gentle water, regardless of river level.  n the early season, when the river is still running higher, the only beach available is Big Beach. There is NO shade here. 
Tenters and vehicles with awnings should be prepared for strong afternoon winds from the southwest.
All size vehicles can fit easily at this site.  Do not drive onto the beach without 4wd or all-wd.
