Hammock Heaven is tucked down in a little hollow on the edge of the river.  It is full shade with very little grass in the hollow, but plenty of grass on the upper part, which is in full sun.    While some have pulled or backed their trailers down in, this site is best for tenters.  However, there is room on the upper portion, for large trailers and motorhomes.
There is a private trail to The Fort Beach when the water is lower. In the early season, when the river is still running higher, the only beach available is Big Beach, which can be reached by walking or driving.
