Otter Run sits on the bank of the river at the edge of a big grassy area.  There is access to the downstream end of The Fort Beach.  In the early season, when the river is still running higher, the only beach available is Big Beach, which can be reached by walking or driving.
This site has a mixture of shade and sun depending on the time of day.  Grass is planted in the site, and some is growing nicely.
Smaller vehicles and tents are recommended at this time, however larger vehicles have lots of room on the fringe of the site, in full sun.

The combination of Otter Run with Cowlitz Ledge and Horseshoe Bend would be great for a large group.
